Tshedimosong School

Tshedimosong School (place of enlightenment), originally established in 1982, is a primary and secondary school based on Tlholego land, and was one of the catalysts for the creation of Tlholego Ecovillage. In 1990 Rucore director, Paul Cohen, became involved in a run-down cattle farm near Rustenburg, where the Tshedimosong School for farm worker children was to be closed. The imminent closure of the school became a catalyst for Paul to connect to a small group of people interested in saving the school and supporting his ideas around sustainability.

Tlholego supports permaculture education at Tshedimosong and works in partnership with SEED to promote school gardens as vital educational environments in schools.
